Between October 7th and October 23rd, 2005 two teams of 48 cyclists took a part in a fantastic adventure – cycling across Sri Lanka from coast to coast to raise money for the International Childcare Trust. ICT helps some of the most underprivileged children in the world, not just by offering emergency aid, but also by providing the chance to start again with education, skills training and healthcare. Uniquely, during the Cycle Sri Lanka Challenge, participants got the chance to visit some of the ICT’s projects in action, and meet with the children who would benefit directly from the funds raised.
